National Traveling Artists 2026

January 11, 2026, was a meaningful day for Mahanak. The National Traveling Artists program brought together over 200 participants—from kindergarteners to elders over 60—to create alongside eight of Thailand’s top masters. It was a humble reminder that our stories and heritage deserve to be told through art, poetry, and performance.

Literature: Naowarat Pongpaiboon (1993) & Chamaiporn Bangkambang (2014)
Visual Arts: Kamol Tassananchalee (1997), Woranan Chachawaltipakorn (2009) & Wannee Chachawaltipakorn (2021)
Performing Arts: Prayong Chuenyen (2009), Thanis Sriklindee (2016) & Chonprakhan Janrueang (2019)

During the photography workshop, participants walked the alleys of Mahanak to document local life. By looking at familiar surroundings with a fresh perspective, they captured the neighborhood’s character in ways often overlooked in daily life. This wasn’t just a skills class; it was a chance to connect different generations and show that Mahanak is a living, active cultural hub.
